The leaders of the six geo political zones that deliberated on the controversial resource control and power devolution have recommended that the 13 percent resource control be increased to 18 percent, while another five percent should be reserved for the development of solid minerals in Nigeria.
This was disclosed to THISDAY by a member of the committee led by General Ikechukwu and Hon. Mohammed Kumalia
The committee also said that another five percent should be reserved for the rehabilitation of the insurgency ravaged northeast.
Deliberations on the recommendations of the Committee Report on Power Devolution were postponed to enable the committee of elders from the six geo political zones to agree on the areas of controversy.
